The vote hasn't ended yet. Members can change their vote until it is gaveled to a close, so it's technically possible McCarthy could go offer his first born to the crazies and still win.

I was actually thinking this was a side of Gym Jordan I had not seen in his grandstanding performances in committees and that he was pretty good. Way better than Gaetz, whose brain cells were clearly taxed by the effort.
