By that age you must throw in the towel and resign yourself to a life of quiet dignity wearing velour tracksuits and pining over the grandkids all day? In reality, at 51 I’m running around in jeans juggling work, teen kids, and a busy social life with hubby. It might not be “hot,” but it’s not geriatric.

Attractive for 50s/60s...etc exists but hot does not. You don't need to resign yourself to anything but be realistic. The most fit healthy and stylish 50+ is not going to be hot. Helen Mirren put up the best fight but even she succumbed to very attractive. The men mentioned in this thread were once hot and now not even attractive.

Most older men have beer guts. Very rarely do they stay in shape. And they give off an angry Trumper vibe. And they honestly blame women their own age for why they have ED. Viagra was invented for a reason. And it's not because they can't get turned on by women their own age, which many claim.

This response feels oddly specific.

This guy I worked with told me the funniest f'ing story, he was 50ish... he went to a bar and picked up a young chick with a super hot bod.

They went home and she was in heals and simply dropped her dress (dress on the floor vibes) and he said "your gonna need to do a little more than that"

She pulled up the dress and said, "honey did you also make your wife feel like that thing not working properly was her fault, no I don't need to do more, go see your doctor" and then she walked out.

He said, truthfully, he realized ... dang I need to go to the doctor. 1st time he realized it wasn't his wife's fault.

My hot attractive boyfriend is 42, I’m 47. What age go hot single 50 yo men date?

I'm mid-50s. Current girlfriend is 23. Here are the ages of my previous 6 girlfriends: 23, 26, 27, 27, 29, 41.

I call BS. Men like that don’t hang around DCUM.

1. I came to DCUM for real estate and school information when I got divorced 10 years ago.
2. I wandered into the relationship section and stayed. It's strangely addictive.

Right - PP, that dude was telling you a joke. He told it in the first person to enhance the delivery, but it was still just a joke.

The 41 is an outlier , what’s the deal

I'd known her for a long time, she was an old friend, and seemed both safe and trustworthy (she wasn't!).

I used to date women my age and I was often treated badly by women who weren't attractive and didn't have much juice left in them for bedroom activities. It was strange how entitled they behaved. I was once stood up (first date) by a heavy-ish woman who was a year older than me! I ran into several women my age who were on OLD but were still married. Sometimes I didn't find out until things had moved forward quite a bit. I had a number of other bad experiences. I also found that in a relationship with a woman my age I was expected to make them my first priority, but I was going to be their fourth or fifth priority. That's unequal and unfair.

Those kinds of encounters made me realize I'd rather be either single or take a chance with a different demographic. Young women generally aren't lying about being single, they have little baggage, they do show up for the date, and usually with an expectation that something "fun" will happen by the end of the night. I get shot down sometimes, but I also hit my target sometimes.
