Anyone remember Dart Drug?

Sutton Place Gourmet in its early years sold amazing sausages. Not modern style chicken/turkey/spinach type sausages - more like a good selection of traditional pork sausages, very well made.

Anyone know a place that still makes great sausages?

Yes. I remember the waiters would sometimes approach your table to take your order and tell everyone they had to put their hands on the table where he/she could see them... One time my father was reading the menu and held accidentally held it too close to the candle in the center of the table and it caught on fire and a passing waiter grabbed it and stomped it out. That was a neat place for kids/teens.

Mothers wasn’t far from graffitis. I must have only went there in the late 70s. Remember going to a birthday party and I was wearing hideous plaid pants

I remember when Houston's on Rockville pike was all the rage... it was probably the first place we knew that offered a Chinese chicken salad with that peanut dressing.. and their chicken tenders were great for kids and adults alike

Thank you. Before I got to your post I was trying to remember if this was a DMV-area store where I bought clothes when I moved here in my early 20s or from my earlier Midwestern city.

How about Frugal Fannies?!

Frugal Fannies off of Ravensworth in Springfield! Later another in Herndon Clock tower.

I remember doing all of my back to school shopping there.
Communal dressing rooms. Leaving with garbage bag sized bags.

I couldn't wait to get "big" enough to get the Earthquake at Farrell's, I wanted them to bring me that giant tub of ice cream to my table on a stretcher, with all the bells and sirens.

Then they closed up before I got to where I could even attempt to eat 23 scoops.
