Yes I do remember Dart Drug I worked at the Distribution/Transportion Center warehouse in Landover Md from 1983-1985. Great company to work for and great people to work with. Miss all the stores, Dart Drug, Crown Books, Trak Auto. Shame they sold their stores, changed ownership then went bankrupt.

Yes I remember I also worked at the Distribution/Transportation Center in Landover Md from 1983-1985… great bunch of people to work with and great company. Sorry to see that it was sold, renamed then went bankrupt. I miss all the stores… Dart Drug, Trak Auto and Crown Books.

Hecht’s didn’t buy Garfinkel’s. An investor group bought Garfinkel’s— and ran it into the ground.

Yes, I’m still bitter. Shopping at the downtown DC store was a wonderful experience— even for a bookish kid.

There was a toy store called Juvenile Sales in Annandale. I got all my Breyer model horses there.
