LOL A Virginian proving that they are dumb as rocks. You realize that there are white people who can't speak English or speak broken English, right? |

4 of the top ten most Ethnically diverse cities/areas are in MoCo.

Yeah, except the White and Asian people in those areas are leaving as fast as they can. |
Uh wrong. Asian population has increased in these areas. As an area become more diverse in the US, of course the percentage of whites would decrease; that's what would make it more diverse. |
Fwiw, I grew up in NVA near Arlington, spent much of my adult life in the bay area, when I moved back to DMV I moved to TKPK. This was my first choice. |
| both MoCo and PG are a dump. The choice is easy — good ol’ Virginia baby |
| My family is in the penninsula and east bay all the way to Sacramento. The closest to a place like San Mateo or milbrae is honestly 20910 silver spring. Walkable, diverse, and good schools for people not scared off by economic diversity. |
And registers sex offenders. |
| have you thought at all about dc proper? capitol hill (for walkable urban rowhouse neighborhood)? or nw dc (mostly sfhs w a suburb in the city vibe)? the idea that dcps elementary schools are not any good is very outdated (middle and high school is more complicated but your kids are young). |
Middle school will be here before you know it. It is much easier to build a "tribe" of fellow parents when kids are younger. Moving for middle school is possible but not ideal. |
This is patently false. I commuted from Falls Church/Mclean area. Was about 45 to 1 hour in morning, leaving at 7:15am. About 30-45 in afternoon. If you leave later into deep rush hour, could be an hour. Vienna could add 20+ minutes, depending what part. |
I'm originally from Burlingame, and there is no way San Mateo or Millbrae, or Burlingame are diverse -- white/Asian, sprinkling of Hispanics. Hardly any black. They are not even economically diverse. Have you seen the housing prices on the Peninsula lately? Silver Spring is walkable, and I wouldn't mind it, but it has a very different vibe to the Peninsula area. |
https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1085472.page Top ES are in MoCo. Sorry VA. The choice is easy. |
| OP VA has Youngkin you do not want Virginia. |
| Va is too expensive and crowded. No one moves there anymore. Go to Md. |
