The client can tell the lawyer (who passes it on to the process server) "She'll be at this hotel on this date for a convention" but it's up to the process server if they approach by knocking on the hotel room door or in the dining room or at the convention. I worked in matrimonial law - I assure you the clients did NOT decide how their spouse got served. They gave suggestions of where/when to find them. If the process server couldn't find them they got creative.

I mean, I'm usually pretty pro woman in these situations, but Olivia Wilde cheated on him with Harry Styles, dumped him, and is now trying to move his kids to London. He wants to be an involved Dad, he's doing the right thing fighting it aggressively.

+1 I'm a divorce attorney and I've had spouses who refuse to disclose where they are living and refuse to accept service by signing a form. If all I have is their work address, then that's where I'm going to tell the process server to go. But, and this is the big piece Olivia hasn't addressed, nobody ever goes to work first. They do it as a last resort, which makes me believe she was dodging service.
