What evidence do you have that Fox News is one w/ Russia? That’s a pretty big statement and completely unfounded IMO. I do not watch Tucker’s show cause I can’t stand him but think this article from not so conservative Newsweek is interesting- https://www.newsweek.com/kinzinger-rips-tucker-carlson-after-russias-atrocities-ukraine-revealed-1694535?amp=1 Specifically Newsweek says: “While Carlson has been used as propaganda by the Kremlin and has shared what many critics see as pro-Russian talking points during his popular program, he's also condemned Putin's invasion and expressed support for the Ukrainian people.” |
The thing is that there are many ethnic Russians who consider themselves Ukrainian citizens and want to keep that Ukrainian nationality and do not want to become Russian citizens. Also, the Ukrainian concept of nationality is much more inclusive - Muslim Tatars in Crimea were Ukrainian citizens as well as ethnic Russians born in Crimea. Putin has explicitly said that Ukraine does not have the right to exist as a nation. His troops assume that anyone who supports Ukrainian sovereignty, regardless of ethnicity, is a Nazi and therefore should be “cleansed”. Ethnic Russians who support the Ukrainian government have been killed. There are many ethnic Russians in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Kherson and Mykolaev. It doesn’t matter from Putin’s perspective - if they resist because they support the Ukrainian state then they are Nazis who must be cleansed from the land. He is not separating out the ethnic Russians and protecting them unless they also support Russian rule of Ukraine. |
Sorry, you can’t both-sides this. Newsweek is just a right-wing mouthpiece anyways. |
|
Irony is that probably more ethnically Russian civilians have died in this war than ethnic Ukrainians. The bombardment in the eastern portion of Ukraine has most affected ethnic Russians.
So dumb. |
Newsweek has been sold a bunch of times and is conservative crap now. |
| But why? I don't understand how the Russians are claiming to be liberators and doing this.its insane |
Russia did the same in Syria, Chechnya, and elsewhere. And, it happened in Bucha where some of their elite professional VDV and Airborne troops were stationed. It seems like this kind of brutality and criminal violence is part of their military doctrine. |

Biden needs to stop being scared of Putin and arm Ukraine with anything and everything. Or use NATO for humanitarian corridors; that will give Russia pause. We could even give Ukraine tactical nukes and deny it later. The only thing he is scared of is war with America; that is it. Nothing else will stop him. |
| Russia is DISGUSTING. Point blank period. I'm furious. |
| I just saw the animal shelter pictures and almost threw up. I hope Russia collapses. Vile country led and occupied by vile people. |

So impressed by the Ukrainian responses to this illegal horror show on so many levels - the bravery of their citizens, clear sighted leadership and brilliant communication skills of Zelensky, and now their meticulous methodology in documenting war crimes. May the Ukrainians find justice, prevail against all this evil, recover, rebuild and flourish again. https://apple.news/ACKA9tLjJSDut1v-_bShAIg |
| How can the world get these pictures to Russians? No commentary - maybe captions just stating the basics. Some of these photos are like the napalm photo from Vietnam or the prisoners or Auschwitz or Jonestown aftermath or Rwanda. Massacre. If you have a heart, it breaks . They say it all. The people of Russia need to see what "they" are doing. |
They see. They don’t believe them. |
