| What is the origin of Kentaji -- such a beautiful name. |
Reminds me of Kamala Harris asking Justice Barrett whether she believed in climate change. Um, WTF? |
She explained in her introduction. Kentanji means “lovely one” in one of the African languages. |
Lots of Republicans don’t. |
I guess you’re one of those people who doesn’t believe in climate change if that’s a “WTF” moment for you. |
Like someone with no knowledge of the law? On the Supreme Court? WTF? |
It’s about time we had an African name on the court….. so tired of Anglo names and faces. |
Do tell - what does climate change have to do with a Supreme Court justice? NOTHING. |
Not sure which "you" is being referenced. It's always been Justice Barrett and Cavanaugh to me. They serve on the highest court in the U.S. Their full name should be branded on every opinion they put out for history to know what they were standing for and against. I wouldn't want them to hide behind Amy and Brett. |
Because the Federalist Society Judges claim it’s unconstitutional to consider it in environmental or economic regulations. Supreme Court Grapples With EPA Authority on Climate Change https://news.bloomberglaw.com/business-and-practice/supreme-court-grapples-with-epa-authority-on-climate-change |
Could it be the ridiculousness of the questions? Hmmmmm |
Oh, you poor dear. How utterly trying for you. |
|
Cruz is a doosh. Just in case anyone forgot that. Just watch his questioning.
Loved it when KBJ said "I assumed you were talking about public schools" instead of GDS after his rant about CRT and racist babies. |
Ummm… very relevant to the job. In the next decade, there is certain to be a number of cases before SCOTUS touching ing on climate change— environmental regulation, tax credits, insurance liability, litigation on any legislation passed to fight climate change, eminent. Domain. For example, if you don’t believe in climate change, then you are unlikely to believe the government can use eminent domain to build critical infrastructure outside of zones projected to be impacted by climate change. And it’s not a given she believes in climate change. File under— tell me you know nothing about what a judge does without telling me you know nothing. |
+1. Which is like saying you like to see a non-MD performing brain surgery. How can you interpret laws with no legal training? |
