Where are all the RWNJ's interrupting the beginning of 5his hearing? Oh wait, it's not a white cisgender male who likes beer being considered and the right is respectful.

What’s there to say?
She’s an excellent pick.

He's weirdly immature.

She will get a few GOP votes.

Honestly, republicans can’t stop her. They would do a lot for their party if the could fine 20 or so votes. Then they really could spend the next 10 years claiming they behaved in a civilized manner so Dems should too. It would be good for the Court too. With Roe going in a couple months, it would be smart to try to salvage some legitimacy for SCOTUS.

A 70-39 confirmation (vs 53-47) is smart, it costs nothing, and red state senators up for election could still vote against her.

But it’s also the classy, decent thing to do. So, it will never happen.

^^70-30 confirmation. Not 39.

Murkowski
Collins
Mitch acting like a leader for once
Romney
Sasse
Graham
Etc

They could do the country some good post-Trump, while Hawley, Cruz, Blackburn, etc continue to behave like horses asses.

Let's also look at it from a strategic point of view, appealing to the GOP's self-interest.

Even if Jackson is left of center, she's appropriately qualified. She got excellent grades, excelled in the most elite schools, practiced law in the most elite and cut-throat courtrooms. The woman did everything right. She has no skeletons in her closet, she runs a tight ship.

If Republicans start acting like deranged lunatics regarding Jackson, it really looks horrible from a long-term perspective. There are many people of color - including recent immigrants - who strongly value education and small-c conservative values. Even if they don't agree with Jackson on some issues, they respect her excellence and no-nonsense hard work.

If these people see the uniformly white Republican elite treating Jackson like trash, disparaging her work, and disrespecting her strong credentials - what message does this send to others who don't look like the typical Republican elitist?

LOL, Mitch will never vote for a black woman.

And hey, Grassley told her to her face that the Constitution should be interpreted as written. You know, when only white males could vote and a black person was only 3/5th a white male.

Wow. Grassley slurred his words. I hope he has some help.

I see the GOP are following their talking points that direct many of them to say “what we did to Brett, we won’t do to you.”

She is 100x more qualified than any of the muffins from the GOP.
