Glad to hear this. Sounds like California (LA and SF) is slowly coming to its senses. Took them long enough.

Yes - this and SF recalling their three deranged school board members. The liberal reign of terror is hopefully coming to an end.

Did the person in the photo claim they is a woman? Did anyone believe him?

Yes, and according to her prison phone calls she believed that being trans would influence the DA enough not to prosecute for child molestation.

Absolutely disgusting. Sorry, I don’t feel the need to call a child monster by his preferred pronouns. This cretin is a man. Period.

A 26-year-old woman who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Palmdale might be sentenced to a short stay in juvenile hall or granted probation at a court hearing this month, sparking another round of outrage over Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. George Gascón’s all-or-nothing criminal justice reform platform.

The complicated case of Hannah Tubbs has drawn increasing frustration from law enforcement officials and politicians in recent weeks, who say the situation once again highlights the problem with Gascón’s blanket ban on trying juveniles as adults.

Tubbs, who identifies as female, was two weeks shy of her 18th birthday when prosecutors say she walked into the women’s restroom of a Denny’s restaurant in 2014, grabbed a 10-year-old girl by the throat and locked her in a stall, court records show. Tubbs then shoved her hand down the girl’s pants and sexually assaulted her, prosecutors say, stopping only after someone else entered the restroom.

The case drew widespread attention at the time, and the L.A. County Board of Supervisors issued a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. But Tubbs was not linked to the crime until 2019, when her DNA was entered into a database after she was arrested on suspicion of battery in Idaho, said Lt. Richard Ruiz of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau.

She has also been arrested for battery, drug possession and probation violations in Idaho and Washington, where she also has a pending misdemeanor case, Ruiz said. Tubbs was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in Kern County and faced a prior allegation of sexually assaulting a minor, which did not result in a prosecution, according to Ruiz and a review of court records. Several calls to the Kern County district attorney’s office seeking additional information on both cases were not returned.

The district attorney also expressed concern that Tubbs herself would be victimized if placed in an adult facility as a transgender woman and noted a probation report actually recommended Tubbs be sentenced to home confinement. Instead, Gascón said, prosecutors asked for Tubbs to be kept in custody for two years where she could receive treatment and therapy.

Well, this obviously can't have happened.

Which one of you is going to produce the memo from Soros saying "don't prosecute sex offenders?"

Jailhouse recording with Tubbs and "her" dad have been released. They are disgusting. I put "her" in quotes because in one of the phone calls, he seems to be telling his dad to refer to him as "she" in order to get off of being on a sex registry.....

And, the idea that Gascon would have handled the case differently if he had known about the calls is total BS. You don't prosecute based on "remorse." You prosecute based on the severity of the crime.
He assaulted a 10 YO girl and Gascon chose to prosecute him as a minor even though he was just shy of turning 18. And, the case was tried when he was an adult.

Gascon has claimed he was not aware of the recordings and would have handled the case differently had he known.
He is lying. Shea Sanna was the prosecutor of this case, and was removed from it by Gascon shortly after he sent these recording to other attorneys in the office working on the case. He knew.

A group of armed robbers targeted a high-end watch dealer who lives in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, stealing $30,000 in jewelry during the home invasion, authorities said Wednesday.

The victim, Anthony Farrer, told FOX11 Los Angeles that he was asleep in bed when the four suspects woke him up.

"I rolled back over and when I rolled back over, another guy walked out on one side it caught me off guard, and then I looked up and two more guys walked up and I had two guns in my face," Farrer said.

The suspects tied up Farrer with zip-ties and demanded the watches he kept in his home, the station reported. Farrer said he pointed to two briefcases, which the suspects grabbed before leaving.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore on Tuesday said robberies in Los Angeles involving a firearm have increased 44% this year.

Robberies citywide have increased nearly 18%, according to LAPD data.

As of March 19, there were nearly 2,000 reported robberies year-to-date compared to 1,690 during the same period time in 2021. Those figures show that robberies involving a firearm account for 74% of the city's robbery increase as well as 36% of all robberies.

The reality of the situation is that many more people care what Dave Chapelle thinks than what you think. So go crawl back in your cancel culture hole.

This is precisely why the voters in LA are working to recall Gascon.

Los Angeles DA Gascon's office lands 5-month probation camp sentence for teen who mowed down mom and infant

A California teen convicted of plowing a car into a mother and her 8-month-old son will spend just five months in a diversionary program thanks to Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, according to the woman who survived the crash.

Despite shocking surveillance video of the Aug. 6, 2021, incident, numerous eyewitnesses and initial felony charges, the teen will serve his sentence at a "juvenile probation camp," an alternative sentence less severe than juvenile detention.

"I thought those were the last moments of our lives; we were dead," the mother, who asked to be identified only as Rachel, wrote in a victim’s impact statement. "That feeling, along with the memory of a car accelerating directly into us, will haunt me forever."

Gascon’s office called the final sentence of five to seven months in youth camp "an appropriate resolution."

"Fortunately, the baby was uninjured, and the mother received a laceration to her elbow," his office told Fox News Digital Friday. "The Sheriff’s Department agreed with the felony charges that were filed. At arraignment, the minor admitted two felony counts of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury and one felony count of hit-and-run. The Probation Department recommended, and the court sentenced the minor to a youth camp for five to seven months, an appropriate resolution."

Juvenile justice is meant to "rehabilitate young people," the statement continued.

"In this case, this teen will be held accountable for his actions and receive the needed services to foster positive development to keep him from committing future offenses."

According to police sources, the driver, 16 at the time of the crime, initially told investigators the victim appeared out of nowhere, and he struck her by accident. He was initially charged with felony driving while intoxicated and, given the circumstances of the incident, could have faced several more serious charges if Gascon's prosecutors had the leeway to push for them.

Multiple videos show the car veering directly at the mother and child while speeding the wrong way down a narrow backstreet with no sidewalks. After mowing them down, the driver attempts to drive away, only to be stopped by another driver who rams the stolen sedan with a pickup.
