Racism. It’s standard identity politics.

No matter the circumstances or reality, the answer is always:

- play the race card.

It's almost as if it was never about the guns and more about ignoring crime for their own gain.

NP +1

We could very easily reduce gun crime by having life sentences for all crimes committed with guns. Then, conservatives are happy because it lowers the crime rate, and liberals are happy because it makes people think twice about having guns.

But apparently there’s another agenda.

Why not have life sentences on all crimes, period? Guns or not.

There are large swaths of L.A. where it’s tough to tell the difference.

This is just speculation. Do you have any actual proof?

Train yards no longer have security? These shippers and merchants not bothering to care about loss of items or security of shipments? It's not just a lack of policing, there are also some pretty huge private sector fails going on there.

Really? Life sentence for a speeding ticket? For some stupid kid getting busted for first time shoplifting after never having done anything illegal before?

So are there actually any Democrats here who think prosecutors should look the other way on gun crimes? I don't know of any.

I'd like to see someone provide something tangible specifically showing Democrats don't want gun crimes prosecuted.

Seems as if arrests are made, but the thieves are released on no bond within the day.
IOW - there are no ramifications for those committing the crimes.
