Did your child opt in to be considered for the summer option at UP?

No.

They are both good schools. PSU OOS is expensive. State College is a great college town. College Park is not.

Was her application complete with her SRAR and did your DD check the portal or did it go to her regular email?

Yes, her application was complete and we got a letter in the mail, very surprising.

Same here. DD got a follow up email (but no acceptance email ) No notification in the portal. The letter in the mail and email both came yesterday.

She got into UP Engineering.

No. Maybe a satellite campus but no way at UP.

I hope you are right. This is my kid and she also applied to a small private school, while much more expensive, she will thrive there. I am hoping for a Penn State rejection,

I see PSU Altoona in your future.

Penn State...not a great choice.

Where else has she applied?

Why is that? Because they haven't accomplished anything since graduation? To make themselves feel better about how much money they spent on an average education?

Maybe if applying for summer but those stats are not competitive for UP. Unless a major only offered at UP, seems like 2+2 is most likely outcome.

Why isn’t Penn State a great choice? My DC was admitted and we loved the school when we toured.
