Drugs at Hardy (?)

My daughter is reporting that other girls are doing drugs/pot at Hardy during the school day that some may have been doing drugs in the bathroom. Has anyone else heard about this? Many of the kids also have the dark web on their computers and some are accessing inappropriate materials during the school day.

And I’ve had two kids at Hardy recently and they didn’t encounter any drugs either.

But none of that matters. It’s 2022. School is rough right now everywhere. I believe OP’s kid. And I believe the poster who said that it’s happening at Deal. So back to OP—reach out to Lucas and let him know your concerns. I found him to be highly responsive as a principal.

Is this another apocalyptic "Hardy bad school" rumor mongering by the same non-native English poster? Did you hear somebody beat up at Hardy? You know Hardy kids at Safeway? Where principal? Student Hardy drug abuse? Please stop... it's getting really stale. 2022 Hardy is no worse than any of the other DCPS middle schools.

NP. I went to a very academically rigorous public magnet 25 years ago and I 100% encountered weed in 3 different widely known locations in the school.

NP. I went to a fancy suburban private day school about an hour outside of NYC. Nobody smoked pot in the bathrooms. They all went out in the woods to smoke.

I never encountered alcohol, drugs, etc in my affluent public school. Definitely at parties on the weekends, but not in school.
