Biden's VP?

Anonymous
Why not Valerie Jarrett or Susan Rice? Each of them has White House experience. Each has strong ties to President Obama. They each would distract the right wing media and take some of the pressure off Biden. Each would be reliable governing partners. Biden should not pick a lifelong politician in a race against Trump. Whitmer, Warren and Harris have records and inconsistencies that can be exploited. Biden-Jarrett or Biden-Rice would be winning tickets.

Rice went on five Sunday shows and blamed a video for Benghazi.

I really like how you think.

But Warren's confirmed.

Yup, Benghazi rules her out.

I’ve been thinking independently about international issues for 20 years too. Pick me, pick me!

Yeah I know her personally and think she’s amazing, but America only knows THAT ONE THING about her.

This campaign of hers to be picked VP really bothers me. And it’s not a black thing or a woman thing because I felt the same way about Mayor Pete. Come on, you people do not have enough experience yet. And we’re going to lose BOTH of those Senate seats and either one would have been winnable for her (and perhaps no one else.) Argh.

JFC. I have no strong feelings for or against her but the two sets of rules for Democrats vs the absolutely lawless GOP is DISGUSTING.

Honestly, this just feels cruel to do to all of us Warren supporters.

Don't worry. It won't be Abrams. Remember that Biden is relying heavily upon Obama's skills. Obama has an amazing skill at reading people and picking people. He's got amazing political acumen. He knows the issues and he will not let Biden pick someone as raw and inexperienced as Abrams. Obama knows what is needed, someone young enough to offset Biden's age, but also with the experience necessary that the public, including the public that only follows politics superficially will trust to be able to take over. There are many people who question Biden's stamina and fear his susceptibility to Covid-19 and who want some reassurance that the VP is also qualified to take office should she be needed. Abrams claim to fame is that she was almost elected governor. She has no federal government experience and no executive experience. There is not enough public confidence in her ability. Frankly, we have just spent the last 3 years experiencing what someone with no federal experience and no governmental executive experience does to the federal government. If Biden is going to win, he has to show that his ticket will be exactly the opposite of what has caused so many federal problems (at least in the mind of people who will be voting for him). Although Biden says he would consider her, frankly, I would be very, very surprised if she was seriously being considered. I think it is all lip service to show that he is considering a black woman for the position.

I think that the top choices are Klobuchar, Harris, Whitmer and Lujan Grisham (she's borderline A-group/B-group). I think the second tier includes Warren, Duckworth and Baldwin. Others will only move into contention if there is a problem with any of the A-group or B-group.

She's right.

Why? Blacks are a shrinking minority who peaked 20 years ago.
A Latina or Asian woman can being bring more votes.
