DP. The PP didn’t seem defensive to me. There is a poster here who seems unhealthily obsessed with MU though.

I don't get why ANYONE would be obsessed with MU. Some good players trapped in a bad club/teams. Just my opinion MU lovers, please don't take offense.

Why would we take offense? Our DDs are playing DA soccer against good competition and getting top notch training. But why do you care so much? Based on your last sentence, you seem to be trolling the club for some reason.

In the interest of casual conversation there is nothing wrong with putting up a Help Wanted Sign at anytime. Some people just assume that tryout season is over. Perhaps kids had injuries that prevented them form attending traditional tryouts. Perhaps some folks have just moved to the area. Perhaps some folks were promised something at their club that is being altered.

It really doesn't matter, but putting up a help wanted sign on an internet site doesn't cost anything.

new poster and yes I care because US Soccer puts their stamp of approval on this. Metro actually having a DA attached to GFR who calls it their DA is a joke. So when they allow this to occur how can anyone believe anything us soccer says. Having players play in a DA that do not have the talent and that unfortunately is a lot of MU(Spirit VA) only makes the people running that money. If you actually cared about soccer then you would care if this was run as a true quality program constructed to improve our national program not make money for a few people.

If you are not at GFR or Metro why do you really care?

How are you being hurt by Metro or GFR? There are any number of clubs in the area where your DD can play ECNL or DA. If you are in a good situation then you do not need to worry about what Metro does or doesn't do. I just can't really imagine spending my time worrying about something that has zero consequence on my own kid.

If Metro folded today how would your world be improved?

I for one actually do. I know many, many parents and players over there from years of soccer. All of them are good players that chose MU for one reason or another.

I'd rather see one of the bad ECNL teams fold to help send the 1-2 decent players those teams have over to the DA side.

Oh, I'm a DA parent as well and my kid has played both. ECNL is a joke compared to the DA in the DMV.

I agree. The quality of training and coaching at DA versus ECNL is night and day. That’s why we picked MU versus ECNL.
