Of course I would not want Josh to babysit them but I don't think it would be dangerous.

Regarding Josh now being a father, I don't think his children are in danger and I don't think he is a pedophile. he was a juvenile sex offender - not an adult pedophile and there is a huge difference.

PP, it might be a smear campaign, but they have opened their own door there. I've watched the show for the last two seasons, and I was really sort of starting to like them. They seem happy (at least some of them do). If they just left it at a show of one happy huge family, this might be different. But they haven't. They can believe in whatever they want, but they don't leave it there. They lobby with the goal that we should ALL have to live by their beliefs. They are attempting to force their beliefs on everyone else. That's their goal. So that's why they're hypocrites, acting like the gay community are dangerous to children when the only one molesting children from their standpoint is sitting within their own family.

It is not rocket science. Some secular PhD was not going to do anything differently.

The Duggars have shown by how they handled this that they were concerned about and cared about all of their children. They did not sweep this under the rug or ignore it. It tore up their family. They took many steps to ensure it did not happen again and they did it in such as way as to ensure their daughters' privacy and to ensure that their son's life was not ruined. he was 14. His behavior was wrong. He has not reoffended. The Duggars have not blamed their daughters. They blamed Josh and themselves.

I won't say they knew the state trooper friend was involved in child porn. But seriously, it seems like everyone they knew has been in trouble for sexually molesting children and/or failing to report it, child porn, etc. It seems to be a trend, there.

And Michelle later corrected herself, Josh was not sent to any counseling at all, only manual labor.

I am a proud, faith filled Christian and I object every.single.thing. they did. They needed to report it to a police person who would then make a report. They needed to go to a counselor that specialized in treating sexual offenders. I am a Christian, I know the Word, but I'm not qualified to counsel pedophiles. And any pastor or counselor who was obligated to report this but did not, needs to go to jail. I'm so sick of people trying to supposedly defend "Christianity"by justifying every sick thing some so-called "Christian" does. True Christianity calls for real remorse, repentance and enough Christian humility to accept the consequences. Understand that forgiveness does not mean skirting the consequences. Pray that all of perverts are revealed and uprooted.
