Gonzaga’s lax future doesn’t look too bright.

Might explain it

What should be posted instead? What's left is fall ball workouts (present) and bold braggadocio on chat boards (future). Really interested in your take here.

You really glazing the little attackman from the Heights? He's not even top 5 middie on his club squad. Being the best at a school like the Heights where he's allowed to play hero ball every single possession is comparing apples to oranges when it comes to GP, Bullis, GZ, SJC and Landon.

you are forgetting that on that particular club squad, ability and playing time do not always correlate.

With club ball normally I'd agree with you. In this case, the club director and his team's coach are the varsity coaches at Heights. This particular player plays attack for Heights and there are 5 attacks in front of him on the club. I'm trying not to be a hater but the other Heights '27 attack will be the higher rated player at the end of their high school career.

I was at Terrapin lax thing this weekend and had a chance to watch the Heights kids play. I have no idea about the rest of the Heights team but those 2 are going to cause some trouble for the 3-5 teams in the WCAC if they can get a little help getting the ball to the offensive side. I'm not sure how NL comes to their conclusions on who plays where.

totally delusional. Those two players won’t make a damn bit of difference playing against the top teams. The Heights program is degrading at a rapid rate since Dave Mitchell left. The program is not relevant and will be even less relevant in the years ahead.

The Heights and STA crowd win the award for consistently claiming that they don’t deserve to be sitting at the little kids table of DMV lacrosse. They do.

Is the cuse commit playing?

been told he is ineligible to play this Spring

Tiers by the end of the season:

1. SJC - strong in every class
Landon - very strong senior class
Bullis - top player in the area plus some

2. PVI - will squeeze 2 more seasons out before the campus change ends them being relevant
GC/GP/GZ - Depending on who wins their matchups

3. GP/GC/GZ - GP is really thin besides the 5 star, GC is trying to break through, GZ's players are mostly untested.

4. STA - 4 good players every year isn't enough
The Heights - will be a more competitive game than given credit for
Dematha - All the coaching changes puts them outside the WCAC top 4
SSSAS - If done right, could be a quick turnaraound

5. Top public school - Robinson? Langley? 1 win against any private is considered a success
Episcopal - It's a mess.

Why are you saying St Stephen's is a quick 'turnaround'? Did they get new players or are you just pegging that off of Ince?

There will be no quick turn around at SSSA…more like turning the titanic!

Stop with the STA inflation. they might be the best at overcharging on tuition, but their lax program is awful. Robinson’s had more committed talent in recent years and would beat them if given the opportunity.

It could be a quick turnaround if Ince has the support of the school. Forge a relationship with a feeder club where that club gets highly discounted rates to use the school's facility for practices. Actively target lacrosse playing families who live within 15 minutes of the school for admission. Find a reason to discount tuition to at least come close to SJC and GZ. SSSAS does it basketball, they can do it in lacrosse. You only need 4-5 good players a year to field a team and be really competitive in lacrosse.

"2. PVI - will squeeze 2 more seasons out before the campus change ends them being relevant

Really? The best team PVI has had in recent years was 2023 and just about any player with playing time was based in Loudoun and many west of the campus. Same with 2022 and many of this year's roster. The new location will only help. It was coaching changes that set them back a bit but they will only go up now.
