Sounds like Stars and Pride are pretty much intact from last season.

This, to me, is a good thing. This will allow them to get more touches and continue to get better one more year before they combine their best at Capital. Assuming the Pride girls move to Capital

I thought some Pride girls were trying out for MD clubs?

Pride yes

Stars no and only have 1 that could make a Baltimore team

It's ridiculous to say Stars has 1 that could make a Baltimore team. M&D was literally begging for players this year. I am absolutely sure several of the Stars girls would have been welcomed with open arms.

LOL. M&D 28 had close to 100 girls at tryouts. Sounds fine to me.

Quality matters not quantity, obviously.

So you were there to assess the talent level? Did your daughter get an offer then?

So either you weren’t there and have no idea of the talent level present.

You were there and your daughter didn’t get an offer so you are bitter.

You were there and your daughter did get an offer and you are now bashing your new team. Classy.

All three of those options make you an unreliable source.

I think PP was simply saying the number of players showing up is less important that the quality of the players showing up, which is obviously true.

Obviously. But unless they were there they have no basis to judge the quality of their those in attendance

There was no judgement of quality, just a statement of fact.

Did Pride or Stars have any additions? I heard NL may have some departures - just curious if another local team got any of them.

Stars got all the extra NL girlsand Pride got the YJ and Metro girls

Are you people stupid? Announcements don’t come out until Sunday

Then be a parent and control what your child is doing on their phone. Why is that our problem? Sounds more like a parenting problem to me

Statement of fact of what? There’s a finite pool of so called top players or talent. It’s not like there’s a group of 20 top players hiding out just waiting to go to a teams tryouts so some unathletic parent can decide which team got or didn’t get talent at tryouts.

The number of players does not matter. The quality of players matters. Not making a judgement on quality of players, just saying. Take a chill.

You were making judgement saying the team was “begging people to come” and when someone said there were more than 80 people there you judged the quality saying that numbers didn’t matter. Your whole post was judging. Just own it.

I would like to see how ballsy some of you are in person. Everyone is so tough and judgmental anonymously, I wonder how many speak to people like this in real life

Glad you and your daughter are sitting so safely outside of the top 10 teams that you can judge what the top teams are or aren’t bringing in. Just focus on who is shooting up at your own tryouts to improve your team.

I miss the respectful back and forth. Ph well. Anonymous boards. Regardless, I wish people would accept it was a stressful week for 90% of parents whose kids play lacrosse at this level. While I appreciate a good snarky post, nasty people suck.

Back on track here - nothing but positive energy for now. Seems there were some changes to the teams, which is exciting and will shake things up a bit. I know not all teams have wrapped up tryouts, but for the teams who have will we see the newly-constituted teams this weekend at the Mid-Atlantic? That will create some interesting dynamics for former players playing their old teams so soon after leaving. Best of luck to ALL the girls!
