Even Hogan is repeating the storyline that virtual learning for 10-days is "closing" a school.

Unfortunately, his policies will carry through November. He's term-limited so probably doesn't care about pushback.

I think you misjudge where the political pushback would come from. I think you have a really warped perception of where most voters are on this issue.

We always knew where he stood, OP. Haven't you been paying attention? It's all about where he goes next, and he needs to prove that he "bravely prevented schools from closing", without closing businesses or anything else.

Result? Patients suffering because their surgeries have been canceled, hospitals under considerable strain, healthcare workers with PTSD, families scrambling with quarantines and no continuity of learning.

He's a political hack and nothing else. No respect for this guy.

Oh yes. I forgot. Maryland and Montgomery County in particular is a magical land where no crazy Republican's live. We have mystic anti-cra-cra barriers on the boundaries of 485 and 270 to ensure such a thing does not exist here. My bad.

A closed school is defined as one where no instructional learning occurs. A 10-day temporary virtual learning status to help slow virus spread does not close schools.

And per Hogan, MD stated that it had to be IN PERSON 180 day instruction, like the vast majority of this country and the world.
