The school is never wrong. (DC Private schools).

Yep. Seems to be how they all behave

As a parent of a kid who went through something significant at a top area private, I was gobsmacked by the reaction. Closed ears, close ranks, no show even of concern. Understand the school defenders can’t believe that’s how a school they may love and have good experiences with would respond like this I. wouldn’t have believed it until it happened to our family.

This is exactly why this is so important. Russell Shaw needs to be let go for this. This is the only stuff we know of in the media. We don't know about secret agreements with an NDA or stuff that's not public.

He was leaving anyway so not a meaningful consequence, I’m afraid…

I assume the record will speak for itself if he ever wants another HOS position down the road?

I can't imagine this will help his career.

Lmao the dozen people in this thread that think there’s a conspiracy and think DCUM is going to haunt Russell and diminish his accomplishments across 20 years at a prestigious private school in DC are delusional.

lol. I’m not even there but eve I know he raised like $100k, built a campus, and in general, his stewardship of the school was viewed as excellent.

Can someone summarize this thread? I'm employed, so I can't sift through 70 pages.

Family at GDS said that their kid said that he had been sexually assaulted four months prior to telling them. Kid said the assailants were masked with voices disguised and that it happened between classes. Middle school kid. Police came in and said that report seemed credible but that there was no evidence and nothing to support a more detailed investigation than the initial one. Half the people here are convinced that this is bigger than the Epstein files. The other half think that it may or may not have happened and that the school did what it needed to but that there was nothing tangible.

That was just building the campus. The man did phenomenally. But anyway how do you have any expertise in assessing his fundraising acumen?🤦

100k is not a lot for a private school. I suspect he raised more money that that.

This "summary" omits several key details.
1. The school hired a firm with a history of egregious misconduct, criminal harassment, impersonation, and associations with Epstein or his brother.
2. The school has lied to the community repeatedly regarding this incident.
3. This thread has exposed additional allegations of egregious misconduct involving GDS.

Not sure about #2 or #3 but please detail.

If he only raised $100K during all or even part of his tenure, the board would’ve already fired him. $100K is like 20 bucks in private school terms. LOL
