Boundary Review Meetings

Maybe Thru has an IEP or 504 we don’t know about that gives them extra time to complete their assignments.

They will have one printout per table tonight…this is crazy

I wrote to mine plus the at-large members. Nothing back.

They should, right? Wasn't part of this exercise adding to underpopulated schools?

Nothing in the scenarios really helps Lewis or it's students in any meaningful way. Ridiculous.

Agree. I hope scenario 4 makes some attempt to help Lewis students (if they won’t just close the school outright).

Help them how? By zoning in other kids who will never go there? Like the 300 or so kids zoned there now who go elsewhere?

If kids are reassigned there, some may pupil place but not all.

Bottom line is that they’ve got to increase enrollment at Lewis. Seems like that could be accomplished by bringing more kids over AND increasing the academic offerings so they are incentivized to stay.

Thru has to be through!

We need to write bad reviews and write the BBB. Thru is a fly by night company that is not qualified and has no business negatively impacting thousands of families.

I hope you are referring to scenarios 1-3 and are not a BRAC member who has seen scenario 4. 😔

Why has there been no communication from Dr. Reid after they missed their deadline? Totally unacceptable.

Probably run through a copier a hundred times so it’s hard to see any details….but, hey, transparency!

it’s really not fair for the people who have a meeting tonight. how can they prepare. if they can’t make the meeting they have no clue if they are being moved or not. the silence from reid and the school board is just terrible. they really don’t care

The problem is that no “homeless” kids are affected by this. Otherwise we would have hourly updates.

Maybe we should figure out how to loop in trans kids into this so the county will throw infinite resources towards it.

Maybe we should construct our own map where all the SB members houses get reassigned. Not their neighborhoods, just their houses, to the least convenient pyramid available.

We’re 60+ hours past when this updates tool was supposed to be released. Is this a sick joke? Without any real update in nearly 48 hours.
