Is there a pie with no eggs, nuts, or fruit?

Struggling a bit with everyone's dietary needs at the holidays this year. At our "friends-giving" table we will have:
- someone deathly allergic to nuts - someone allergic to eggs - someone allergic to wheat (but will eat substitutes) I don't like pumpkin pie, and DH doesn't like fruit pies of any kind. My fallback is to just serve ice cream -- but a pie would be festive. Any ideas for a unicorn pie that will please everyone? |

| You should make fruit pies. The fact that your DH doesn’t like them is immaterial. He can have chocolates (the holiday Lindt truffles look festive) or go without. There is simply no reason to ever cater to a fruit-pie hater on Thanksgiving, especially since it’s so easy to make tasty ones that your other guests will be able to eat. |

If you'd be open to a pudding pie, there are some good egg-free pudding recipes out there substituting cornstarch for the thickening usually accomplished by the egg, and you could pair it with a gluten-free graham cracker crust.

There are apple pie recipes that fit the bill (using gluten free dough). You could probably use the same strategy for several berry pies.
Also google vegan key lime pie (less for thanksgiving though) |
