What car to get if you don't care?

Anonymous
I have been the only driver in my family of four for 16 years. We have a Sienna minivan that I love because it has been so useful. My DS is getting his license soon and our plan is to make that his primary car and to get a new car for me. I should be excited, but I just don't care much about cars. Looking for something that still seats four comfortably, is reliable, feel slightly luxurious inside. I tend to like being higher up, so thinking SUV. Price no more than say 40-50K.

Any ideas?

Any way you can wait a little bit?

I'm waiting a bit because I want a Camry TRD but there isn't one in the color and with the specs I like at the dealerships and the prices are high right now with the chip shortage.

PP here. having said that, maybe look at the RAV 4 if you want to be "higher up?"

Buy a Jeep Wrangler. Give it to DS. Continue driving the Sienna

I agree. If you don’t care get your DS something instead. And if he doesn’t care about being high up. That’s one less criteria. You can get him something reliable s d with up to date safety features that would be great for a new inexperienced driver — like blind spot warnings — for less than $40k

I used to love the CRV cars, now they have a hybrid CRV: HRV. I’d get that.

I was going to suggest Accord or Camry before you said that.
