what is your workout routine? (for mid-40 woman)

not much a runner, enjoy biking but haven’t done much this year, weekend hiking once a week, don’t walk much.

what’s your workout routine?

3 days/week weights ~ 20 mins
2 days Pilates reformer
1-2 days 15 minute intervals on the treadmill

walk 4x a week, 10K steps is goal, lift weighs/core 2x a week, run for 5-7 miles 2-3x a week and bike a bit.

Aim for 10k steps a day-usually intermingle running into the walk.
Core/arm strength exercises every other day using peloton app.
Run on tread when I get to it. Need to improve this.

I walk the dog, although DH does more of that.

I have a couple different 7 minute workout apps and I do them. I have some exercises I cannot do, lunges and sit-ups, so I modify them as needed.

Are you looking to get into a routine?

I'm 45 and run 5-6 miles 4-5 times a week, and do strength conditioning or HIIT classes at a gym 3-4 times a week.

I do orangetheory 4-5 days a week. Sometimes I swap out 1-2 workouts w/a 45 min to 1hr + long run.

I do a 30-40 minute classes online from BeachBody 5-6 days a week. I am currently mostly doing barre but I mix it up.

M/W/F - 5 mile AM run and weight lifting session in the afternoon

T/Th - Full body Tabata/HIIT with 15 lb weights

Sat - AM run

Sun - same as Thursday + mini lifting session

Cross fit 3x a week + 2 long walks (1 hour) during the week

Peloton Bike user here. My routine intention is:

M - 30 minute ride plus 10 minute abs and stretch
T - 40 minute weights
W - 30-45 minute ride plus 10 minute abs and stretch
H - 40-55 minute weights
F- 30-45 minute yoga
S/S - 60 minute endurance bike ride or outdoor hike/walk with friends

I stick to the routine 80% of the time and forgive myself for days that I don't meet the intention.

I am 6 weeks into a 10 week program called Epic Heat by Caroline Girvan (all free on YouTube). I used to run and lift, so I was in reasonably good shape, but man, this chick is Kicking My A$$.

Walking an average of 5-6 miles / day. Alternate days of vinyasa yoga and barre3 with weights.
