Mostly characters you came to care about. I’m looking for more of this:
Friday Night Lights Downton Abbey The Office Gilmore Girls Offspring Crash Landing on You (Korean) Ted Lasso |
| Call my agent on Netflix (Dix pour cent) |
| During the pandemic, I started watching Hallmark + Lifetime movies to relax. Pre- Covid, I had MSNBC on in the background pretty much all day at work... I do not any more. |
| Ted Lasso |
| The Magicians |
Maybe I’ll need to give it more time. I watched 2 episodes and it looked rather harsh (cut throat, back-stabbing, etc). |
| Anne with an E! |
|
I like a lot of the ones you listed, OP. I can’t think of recent series like this but some older ones are Parenthood, Sisters and Party of Five.
|
| Call the Midwife. It had tragedy throughout, but I found something about it so comforting. I think it may have been the community feel that is lacking in modern society or something...who knows. |
|
Schitt's Creek, if you stick with it
Older shows: Northern Exposure, Thirtysomething, I'll Fly Away, Brooklyn Bridge |
| Did anybody watch Avonlea back in the day? |
| Call the midwife. So lovely. Harrowing, but loving and warm and with loveable characters. |
| Hometown Cha Cha Cha is a cute Korean romance show |
| You’re the Worst on Hulu |
Absolutely yes to Schitt’s Creek. I’ve tried Northern Ex and 30something during quarantine and they didn’t seem to age well to me. I’ve tried Call The Midwife (my mother loves it!) but it was just too dark for me. |
