I don’t understand why people don’t think this case would not get much media attention. Savannah has hosted the opening ceremony and been a huge part of the Olympics for the last decade. She also has hosted presidential debates and anchored NBC coverage on election nights. These are events that get HUGE viewership around the country. she also hosted the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade which hundreds of millions of Americans have on in the background of their Thanksgiving preparations.

Most Americans are very familiar with Savannah Guthrie. She’s not as popular as Taylor Swift, but most Americans are going to know her and are going to be interested that her 84 year old mother was forcibly dragged from her home in the middle of the night.

Further, she hosts a national morning television show. Do you actually think that the today show wasn’t going to lead their coverage with our colleague’s Mom was kidnapped and taken from her home??!?!

Of course this was going to get national and sustained coverage. It was no surprise that the president called us out and offered her condolences.

No one with any common sense thought this wasn’t going to be a huge news story.

It was no surprise the president posted about it? Disagree. If anything this is one aspect highly suspect. When has he expressed sympathy for anyone? Hell he basically said Rob Reiner deserved to be murdered bc he didn’t support him politically.
I would have expected president to say nothing at all or call this fake news.

This is what I find suspicious also: you would expect Trump to save it served Guthrie right or something. Very out of character for him to express sympathy for anyone.

He regularly calls victims of violent crimes. The victims talk about it publicly and extensively.

I agree it had to be someone who knows Nancy, possibly even a delivery person who would notice the ring camera. Clearly planned a head of time to take her.

The obvious suspect is the brother in law. He was last seen with her when he dropped her off at 10pm. He would know about the ring camera and the Apple Watch and all the other nuances. How would a delivery person know about that?

What’s there to actually know about the Apple Watch? I assume it was on its charger so stopped syncing when she got out of range.

How would a random perp know the Apple Watch belonged to her and not a grandchild or caretaker? How did they know to disable cameras and where they were located? This person is highly familiar with all of Nancy’s personal belongings and her home. It’s someone close to her not a stranger

You’re missing the point w/ the watch. They did nothing with the watch. The watch is sitting wherever Nancy put it (likely on a charger). It just stopped syncing when the pacemaker/she went out of range and since she didn’t return to range it never synced again. There was nothing for the perp to know about the watch

The pacemaker disconnected from her phone -- not her watch.

The first note mentioned something about the watch that only they would know, and that police could verify.

These kinds of scripts are carefully written by hostage negotiators. She clearly said "celebrate with her."
