The actress playing Coop’s sister is really off-putting. Her voice is fine but some of her line readings are terrible and she’s charmless.

I absolutely can’t stand that police detective. The way she talks is incredibly grating.

Also, the fat Nordic art dealer. I guess we haven’t seen the last of him. I found it strange that he was out to get Coop, considering he got to keep the original painting without paying Coop a dime.

Minor quibble with this show in general: the kid playing the son looks nothing like Jon Hamm or Amanda Peet and could not possibly be their kid.
Minor quibble with this episode in particular: those kids absolutely would have been to Princeton before. Couple like this goes to reunion every five years and those kids would have been running around on the field while their parents were drinking in tents.

Otherwise, loved this episode, keep it going!

Agree with your second quibble and was thinking that throughout their visit to Princeton - of course those kids have been there before!

But as for the son, a lot of kids look nothing like their parents. I have one like this. Genetics isn't always predictable. And the boy who plays their son is a really good actor.

Agree! I'm really enjoying it. I like shows like this where someone is pretending to be something they're not. There was a show called "The Riches" about a family of Travelers who assumed the identity of a wealthy family, living in their house, etc. I loved it.

The Riches was fantastic.

I’m kind of losing interest in Your Friends and Neighbors. I enjoy John Hamm and Amanda Pete, but the rest of the characters just aren’t pulling me in.

You don't love his friend Barney? He's my favorite on the show.

I LOVE Barney! I thought John Hamm was gorgeous in Mad Men, not so much in this series. It’s not even that he’s aged, it’s something else and I can’t figure it out.

He hasn't aged well. That's what years of alcohol addiction will do to you. His character lacks Don Draper's charm, too.

I like the Barney character, but dude needs to divorce his princess wife. It's absurd.

Eh, I think he's aged well. I don't know many men that look that good in their mid-50s. DiCaprio is younger and looks more like the 'poorly aged addict' type.

His face looks very bloated and puffy to me. It’s actually kind of distracting but I’m really enjoying the show.
