Political Discussion
Growing up many of my friends showered with their mom or dad. I think it might be a generational thing. I don’t necessarily equate it with abuse (and I worked for a crisis nursery). Nudity is normal for some but not for others. The 1960s and 1970s were very different than today. |
She is more likely to be gay, but knew that would put her on the outs with Rs (at least at that time). |
Nah, she is bi. Bush and her were most likely screwing. |
Didn’t she call him her husband accidentally once ? Based on how Alive he is with Michelle , I believe it. He has a type. He also said the worst moment of presidency was Kanye saying he didn’t care about black people. Not 9/11. I couldn’t believe of all the things THAT was what he was most embarrassed by but it makes sense if he’s secretly liked bw |
| I think scandal was about Condi and Dubya |
Condi actually convinced him to use his political assets and spend trillions on Pepfar program which saved 20 million lives in Africa. She told him she would only join his government if he promised to help Africa which he did. If he did it partially because of his affection for her, at least their love relationship had some positive impact on human lives. |
This is true and he did a great thing with PEPFAR that he often doesn’t get credit for. Because it was done in Africa, it isn’t what’s in the collective memory of Americans. Unfortunately , most people remember a series of callous decisions during Katrina. It was the dead of August in Washington. Condi was designer shoe shopping at a Gucci store during Katrina hitting her home state of AL and Bush of course made the famous “you’re doing a heck of a job, Brownie” comment about Katrina. Barbara Bush comes out of nowhere the next week to defend her son’s administration by saying the poor New Orleanians were overcrowding Houston’s Astrodome and even though they lost their homes, things are working quite well for them anyway since they were poor in the first place . Ouch. Katrina was the watershed moment for the Bush administration. 2,000 people died again on our shores over an easily preventable disaster if fed pushed the states further and kept abreast of the hurricane’s growing strength and made it imperative for states to evacuate ASAP |
| There are still bodies that were never found/recovered from Katrina . It was a big deal |
| Katrina was not entirely Condi’s field of responsibility |
What leader isn't? Obama killed a bunch of kids, pregnant women and MSF doctors via drones. |
How many Americans did Obama kill? 4,000 Americans died during the Bush administration due to incidents that the federal government should’ve prevented . Trump and COVId was even worse. He ignored all the warnings and refused to limit travel so the virus fled from China to the US in no time. Had Obama been so reckless , we would’ve been pummeled by Ebola, swine flu, bird flu, Zika virus and several other pandemics that threatened us that Obama thwarted |
| Condi and Bush are still interacting a lot privately. So… |
Oh my god just listen to the whiny, ridiculous arguments you Republicans and Democrats have lessened yourselves to. Which president killed the most Americans?? Seriously, grow up. Read a book. |
Are you a W Bush fan girl ? Nice to see you on DCUM, Condi. It absolutely does matter how many Americans died on US soil from tragedies. We wouldn’t give a Hillary Clinton or Obama admin the same support had 9/11 or COVID happened on their watch. Bush = 9/11, Katrina Trump= COVID Republicans are on the losing team. These things started away from US soil and the presidents were given proper warnings and briefings from multiple sources in the weeks and days leading up to each respective national tragedy/ disaster |
He was a cheerleader at Yale. |
