| I found about this when I was 8 year old when this happened, I remember my folks taking about it, and I remember my friend said it the brother that did it, I think still think it was the non that killed Jonbenet |
|
Is this a new documentary? Or the one that aired a couple years back? I was obsessed with the one from a couple years ago. Made it really seem like it was the brother IMO.
|
I think it’s a new one it’s on ABC2020 right now |
| Will watch it later on my DVR but I cannot imagine any further light will be shed. They know it's not the parents or brother but other than that perhaps a male family friend or someone else peripheral to the family yet having some inner circle details? So sad- my mum took me out of pageants at the time. |
|
I watched it. The daughter of the main detective has now taken up the case since he retired then passed away.
The only new piece of info they seemed to have was that 3 different types of DNA were found on poor little Jon Benet's pajama pants. Previously, I think they only had two. They said none were a match to any family member. |
| It was the brother and the parents especially the mother did a horrible cover up. |
Isn’t that touch DNA that could have been from workers at the factory where the underwear was made? |
Yes and probably accidental by the brother. Sad all around. |
Agreed. |
This. Strongly confirmed by the last documentary where he featured. He expressed strong jealousy at the attention she got and was "reminiscing" about when all the people came to the house after he died and talked to him instead... Whoa. How they didn't notice and convict that level of crazy back then is beyond me. |
| ^^she died |
[b] It’s just a guess but probably because courts require evidence. |
| I read a non fiction book that pretty much proved it was a worker who visited the house. Blaming the brother after all these years is crazy. But makes good tv. |
| Just watched the cbs one over the holidays ... Certainly seems like little chance it wasn't the brother with parents covering. Such a sad story. Hope he got some therapy. |
| I have been following this for years. They know the ransom note was written by the Mom, and that Jon Benet had scars indicating prior sexual abuse. The investigators screwed up big time, negligently corrupting evidence. This also was a power couple who had inappropriate ties to the police and prosecutors. But DNA evidence doesn’t lie. The old cbs report was slanted toward the son because that sells ad time, IMO. |
