It got annihilated by Ian. Check and make sure it’s fully functional. It wasn’t last I checked.

Yes, dummy, it is fully functional. You obviously don’t travel much or read the news because Ian happened in Sept 2022. It’s January 2024!

It makes you feel good to berate internet people? Immature BPD Whacko. I feel sorry for your kids and spouse, who likely hate you.

Recently stayed at the Conrad with a 4 year old and had a great time. Access to the beach was awesome. Our 4 year old really enjoyed the Museum of Discovery and Science.

That area is still pretty bleak-looking from the recent hurricane. I wouldn't go there for at least 2 years. Are any hotels even open down there right now?

Agree. Another PP is lying. It doesn’t look anywhere like before. I would wait. Prices don’t reflect that so not like you will get a great deal for going to a run down place.

I do not like FLL - have stayed at Marriott Harbor Beach and Westin. The Diplomat in Hollywood is ok.

My favorites in that area - Boca Resort/Boca Beach Club, St Regis Bal Harbour, Four Seasons Palm Beach.

West coast - Ritz Naples Golf Resort (they have a water park) or Ritz Naples - can use amenities at both resorts.

Eau palm beach. Also ritz carlton palm beach (though expensive).
standard miami (not sure if you would consider it a resort)
echo bal harbor.
If those dont work money wise, consider not doing resort (they can get very cheesy and down at heel) and just get a nice hotel with a nice pool and do things outside the property.

Tell me about Hawks Cay…good for a couple? How do you get there? Fly to Miami and drive? What is there to do? Husband loves fishing and pickleball.

For those suggesting Marriott Singer Island, can you give recommendations for what to do there or places to eat?

My parents in Bonita Springs and it’s definitely still recovering. Totally agree that you still need to check in advance.

I drove through FMB about a week ago. It’s mostly cleaned up from Ian but that means the debris is gone. What’s left is a lot of vacant, level land where homes and resorts used to be. Pink Shell is up and running but I didn’t go in. Margaritaville is also now open and looks nice. I think it will be years before FMB is rebuilt.
