If you’re a fan, have you seen the movie Burning? I think it’s on Amazon streaming right now. I watched it because I’m a little obsessed with the main actor, but Steven Yuen was really good in his role too. Warning, though: it’s one of those movies where you have to pay close attention. I was the tiniest bit bored by the slow pace, but then the ending blew my mind and made me reconsider everything I had seen.

(And on the Beef front, I was afraid I’d hate the characters but then read a very strong review today about how well they’re drawn as full-fledged people with complicated personalities. So now I think I’m in!)

I have seen it! It both completely freaked me out and ruined me for all future K films.

Is this just a redo of the movie Changing Lanes? I haven’t watched Beef but it sounds just like it.

No, Changing Lanes is a drama/thriller. Beef is more dark comedy/drama.

Aren’t they both about road rage? Beef delves into the family lives and a little about the participants’ upbringings and motivations. It was very good.

Yes. But from your impression of the first episode, it sounds like this just isn't your cup of tea. I have plenty of shows that were popular that I just couldn't get into. Schitt's Creek for example, tried to watch it twice. Could not get into it.

Yes. The movie Unhinged was also about road rage. But they are not redo's of each other.

This was a wild show. Without giving away spoilers, just wished it had ended differently. I also think it's a great reminder that you just don't know what someone is going through beyond the brief interaction you have with them. I thought this was a great breakout role for Ali Wong and loved steven yeun, Felt so much empathy toward him

This series was excellent. So well done. Episode 9 was so intense, I was having heart palps. Really liked this and how they wrapped it all up.
