| For DS. Were having such a hard time with boys names so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |
|
Julian sounds like a pleasant young man who majored in economics at Columbia, his grandfather’s alma mater
Rowan is majoring in video game design and his parents were big into larping back in the day at umbc |

Julian
Isn’t Rowan a girl name? |
| I like Rowan, can i say it’s more masculine? |
| To me Rowan is more masculine than Julian, but be aware that it’s also rapidly increasing in popularity as a girl’s name. In another 10 years female Rowans may well outnumber males. |
| I don’t like either, but if I had to pick, I would choose Rowan. |
| Hate them both. I already know WAY more female Rowans than male. |
|
I picked Julian, but don't like it honestly.
Can you toss few more to us? |
Rowan is historically a boys' name. |
| I know 3 toddler girls named Rowan, and one 11 year old boy named Rowan. |
| They're the same to me: not particularly popular, not my style, present as feminine to my ear, but reasonable things to name a kid. I guess Rowan seems slightly more alt/hippieish, and Julian is a little more Classics major, but they're nearly interchangeable. |
| Dislike Rowan so Julian gets my vote. |
| Julian! Works beautifully for my 20 year old ds. 🥰 |
The only other names on our list are James and Leo :/ Thanks all for your thoughts! |
