Camp Rim Rock for sale?

I saw this notice of an auction...but no communication from the camp. My daughter has gone every summer for years! This is very sad for us, anyone know the story?

That is sad. I’d assume it’s covid-related (loss of income) but that’s just a guess.

There's some language in the listing that suggests that the parties may be in some tax trouble. Looks to me like somebody is putting the squeeze on the owners and this sale won't actually occur.

The sale is subject to the redemption rights held by the United States Internal Revenue Service as set out in 26 USCA Section 7425(d)(1).

Additional terms may be announced at the time of the auction. Pursuant to the Deed of Trust, the Successor Trustees may postpone the sale by public announcement at the time and place designated and act by agent in the execution of the sale. The parties secured by the Deed of Trust reserve the right to purchase the Premises at such sale.

Makes more sense. Instagram suggests they held camp last summer during covid.

I thought Rim Rock was able to have camp this past summer?

They did have camp and it was great! We wanted to sign up again for this summer but a former counselor posted about this on Instagram. I am hoping that it’s all something weird and that either someone will take over the camp or it’s something like PP said above about taxes....no info from the camp that suggests 2021 won’t happen.

We just heard that sale is going to be canceled!!! (This is via a verified source-promise!) They’re working on details but looks like it’s going to be ok. Our DD will be going back for her 5th year!!!

Just received notice they are declaring chapter 11. They hope to hold camp next summer - the communication said they are taking reservations but not taking money at this point.
