Too bad you can't read the original thread. My first post reported the incident, asking if it were in violation. Only after nasty posters started coming out, calling me a liar, saying the story was false, throwing insults because I complained about this poor and apparently illegal, behavior from liberals, and then, to top to off, having the thread deleted, did I become more aggressive (or defensive). And have you heard how some liberals here have condemned all conservatives using the most vile language? It's thread after thread of disdain against conservatives. And last night, I was on the phone with a relative, discussing he dying father, when these "protestors" march through, screaming obscenities, and waking the children. |
Of course the irony of this entire thread is that the OP is upset that others had the audacity to exercise their freedom of speech in his/her neighborhood. Now the OP is upset that I restricted his/her speech aimed at limiting the speech of others. Apparently the OP has learned that the 1st Amendment doesn't extend to privately-owned entities, but that hasn't stopped the complaining here. It would serve the OP right for the protesters to line up at the neighborhood's entrance and incessantly complain about the limitations placed on their speech.

OP, I understand where you are coming from. Jeff did the same (or worse?) a couple years ago when shots were fired near the zoo and he kept deleting posts by neighbors because, according to him, we were making things up. Yes, just call the police next time. And don't waste too much mental energy trying to debate with fundamentalists -- it doesn't work. |
You stated that you were in the Metro and then describing things that happened within the zoo when you were never even in the zoo. Also, just in case aye makes the mistake of thinking that you are sane, this was your reaction: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/379497.page Oh, and this was my response to you at that time: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/15/379497.page#5040787 |
OP here, and thanks. Yes, it really is a fool's errand to debate with them. Seems like when they have no defense, they revert to calling the other side liars. And yes, I'll just call the police next time. |
You are lying, and about quite serious matters. Fortunately we have a police and a newspaper to report facts and to fix problems. This is what happened that day and what I and others shared and you kept deleting: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/2014/04/23/0c9182f4-cafe-11e3-a75e-463587891b57_story.html?utm_term=.3a3650e6a258 |
What am I lying about? Read the thread that you started. It's right there for anyone to see. Of course there was a shooting -- not in the zoo but outside it. You were attempting to describe things that you could not have seen and when I asked you to limit yourself to what you actually saw, you went berserk. It's amazing that even four years later you are upset about it. |
Is this really what you guys do all day? |
Sadly, yes. |
Man, the aggrieved loonies are really coming out of the woodwork. Who's next? |
With this statement, I am absolutely certain you will delete the Lindsey Graham thread started today, right? |
I have't read the thread, but what is false? |
LOL. Jeff has receipts! |
+1. |
It's not amazing at all, you were playing with lives. Your arrogance led you to delete posts by me and others that could have informed DCUM readers of what was happening and helped make them safe. Let's see: - I was less than 500m away from where a shooting took place - I was hearing 2 helicopters above - people were running in Connecticut ave - I just had read a witness account on how 2-3 black teens had shot three times (or four) across from a school and a grass area where many kids play - I had just talked to several neighbors by phone to coordinate how to find our kids and take them home for safety And you, Sir, where we're you and what were your unique sources of information to state that what we were sharing was false and to delete our posts? Oh, the police found 3 (or 4) casings the next day. You should at the very least apologize. |
