Suggestions of a specific location to open a frozen yogurt chain in Northern Va

, really
I'd recommend the Merrifield area - strip mall where Pho Cyclo / Staples is may have space. Or where the new Target is in Merrifield.

IBerry is really expensive and if I recall lots of chemical ingredients (I could be wrong). Greenberry only offers 1 type of froyo-sour or whatever you call it. Starnut sells icecream not froyo.

McLean needs you!!!! Iberry could use the competition so they make their prices more reasonable. Paying by weight could work if perhaps they didn't charge for the weight of the cup or decreased price per ounce.

Tysons corner has Pinkberry. McLean does not. Maybe you are thinking overpriced Iberry? As I said in another post Greenberry offers no options nor does Sweetleaf.

Where is Pinkberry? At the mall?

Downtown McLean would be perfect. Tons of HS kids walk to Starbucks, 7-11, etc. If this is a self-serve place (Is it Sweet Frog??), this is different than what they offer at Sweetleaf and Greenberry. Our family, and our HS DD & friends, would love it. Just make sure it is walking distance to McLean HS.

Pinkberry is at the corner of the rite aid/hallmark stores, facing 123. If you haven't noticed it, that's one of their problems.
But I like the Chesterbrook shopping center suggestion.

THAT'S IBERRY-not at all the same thing in terms of quality and Pinkberry is less expensive with better ingredients.

They just opened a Tutti Fruitti in the Lee-Harrison shopping center. I like TF but I think winter must be a hard time to open.

There are no shopping centers walking distance to McLean HS.

Potomac Yards -- where the childrens place left next to IHOP. The Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins faces the road, but the other location faces the other stores and parking lot. No place kind of healthy to bribe the kids with out there!

Agree, we can use another one in Fairfax City along Main Street.

Another location is downtown Annandale along 236. There are NO frozen yogurt or ice cream places to my knowledge.

Also agree with Trader Joe's shopping center in Baileys Crossroads.

Uh, yes, there are. It is called the heart of McLean. It begins with the Giant at one end and goes to the Safeway at the other end. that area, particularly the Startbucks is littered with McLean High School students. My only thought about McLean is that a lot of good places -- like Marvelous Market -- have gone out of business lately.

A menchies just opened a few weeks ago in the plaza across from home depot.

Near Clemyjontri? Sorry OP I think the market is pretty saturated.

I seriously hope nobody thinks frozen yoghurt is healthy. Sure, it may be a little better than icecream, but it is a sweet snack: not a healthy food.

I think people do think of it as a healthy option. Less fat than ice cream.

Healthier, sure. Healthy? Heck no.

Well... I hope you are not investing your life savings into this franchise, that's all I'm saying.

I agree. Skip the frozen yogurt. Go for a real ice cream shop instead. It will do better. Not too many around these days and definitely a demand.

I'm seconding this (or whatever we are on). I haven't eaten frozen yogurt in years and can't imagine ever eating it again. Now, the home made ice cream place near us - that place always as people. Have coffee also, so you can keep sales up during the winter. You could always offer fro yo also.

I think you should open a drive thru place that sells coffee, ice cream cones, diapers, milk, bread, toilet paper.

DRIVE THROUGH - someone nailed it. Are you from the Northeast, PP? There are no drive throughs here. WTH?

Coem to think of it, there is my next business venture - thank you!

16:15 here, OP you would make a fortune if you positioned it in the right spot. I have a SN dc and two younger dc and there are days I would have paid 10 x the normal price of a gallon of milk or pack of diapers not to have to drag them all out of carseats and into a store. And I would kill for a nearby drive thru coffee place.
