Suggestions of a specific location to open a frozen yogurt chain in Northern Va

Anonymous
I've been granted the Nova territory for a frozen yogurt franchise. The problem is that every shopping center or strip center I look at as a possibility for a location already has one.

I would love to hear if people knew of a shopping center that did not have one and thought it may be successful. Where have you gone and said, "ah, I wish I could get some froyo"? What locations do you think would be successful? Ideally in the Falls Church/Arlington area, but I'm open to anywhere in Northern Virginia.

It needs to have ample parking and probably around 1400 - 2000 sq ft. Please let me know if you know of any available space or strip centers or other locations that you think may work. Thanks!

Ah, looks like the market in Falls Church (west) has been grabbed. There is Lava Yogurt in the shopping center with Trader Joes and Green Frog further down in Falls Church City. Vienna has a couple too. And of course Tyson's one has about 3 in the mall.

Good luck on your venture.

McLean, McLean, McLean, McLean. Please. We have nothing. Also a Five Guys Burgers would be nice. Ruby's. An old fashioned ice cream parlor. Anything please.

I would love one in the Lee Heights shops in Arlington because I could walk from my house there. Don't think there are any open spaces though! I think there is availability of space at the strip mall at Lee Highway and George Mason, but parking there is awful.

Frozen yoghurt? You are opening yet another one?

Well... I hope you are not investing your life savings into this franchise, that's all I'm saying.

I agree. I think in most places, the market is pretty saturated and I think the craze will be over by 2015.

I also agree with a PP that we really could use a Ruby's around here. Ruby's--not Ruby Tuesdays. I'm originally from So. Cal. and miss Ruby's so much. We once even drove up to one of the ones in PA...

McLean has a Pinkberry. Also Sweetleaf has froyo w/ fresh toppings. Greenberry has soft ice cream w/ toppings, I think froyo, too. I'd say McLean is saturated.
