You didn’t even mean “crazypants religious law” to mean that but that’s what this law is. Theocracy.

Does anything matter to the GOP? They’re busy building a new Nazi party and they want purity.

Correction: DEMOCRATS and two GOP votes to repeal the law. The rest of the Republicans are A-OK with a Civil War era law. Remember in November.

Fair point. Look for those who joined the Democrats for sanity to lose their committees or something.

The entire Arizona state legislature is on the ballot this November and is extremely flippable.

WTH is wrong with Arizona!

This is why RIGHTS like reproductive freedom should NOT be subject to the whims of lawmakers.

Interesting. If the democrats had followed republican precedent, they would have blocked the bill so they could keep the issue for the election. Glad the democrats are actually interested in doing the right thing.

They still have the issue for the election and they did the right thing.

By tanking the immigration bill, trump did the wrong thing and managed to screw up the issue for himself. What a genius.

And exactly where and when are doctors allowed to intervene to save her life? Upon first diagnosis of an ectopic, or must they wait until the tube ruptures and she's actively hemorrhaging? Or, what about the possibility of sepsis setting in after pre-term premature rupture of membranes? Is that enough of a risk, or does she have to be actively in septic shock?
How about a child rape victim who might suffer permanent damage to her small body from a delivery? Or does that not count, because it would only be preserving her health, and not her life?
What stage of cancer diagnosis is considered enough of a risk?

And on...and on...and on. These so-called exceptions don't work.

And for most those scenarios, the embryo WILL NOT SURVIVE ANYWAY. So you are risking the life/permanent damage to the mother for.... NOTHING AT ALL.
