I don’t understand this line of thinking. The driver’s name has not been publicly released. Why would he sue? What would he even sue for?

Lost wages from being suspended due to false statements? Slander?

Slander cases are hard to win. Seems like the driver would lose money hiring a lawyer and trying to do this.

I am sure the driver can get an attorney on a contingency fee. The claims that this family is making, including in their own GoFundMe description, are egregious and slanderous. I hope the driver does sue.

It’s so distasteful when people create GoFundMes to capitalize on a tragedy, and then to post lies about the Uber driver. This should be reported to GoFundMe

It's always the husband/boyfriend. Or at least, 99% of the time. I bet the husband and friend were having an affair.

They weren’t even there when she was hit! How on earth would he have killed her? Magic?

They were together when they all got out of the Uber.

So the husband and friend were the last to see the woman alive. Sketchy.

+1. They've lost all sympathy by continuing to blame the Uber driver.

This is not the Uber drivers fault.

Oh I totally just reported the fundraiser for libelous statements. This really reads like the husband was complicit somehow.

I am sure the woman was a very nice person and caring mother and I think everyone agrees it is awful what happened and a tragedy. But blaming someone for a death is so wrong.

Very likely.

Tragic.

Maybe he pushed her out of the Uber. Nonetheless he wasn’t with her when she was found. So he left her.

Surely the driver would have called 911?

Was the friend male or female?

I had the same thought.

You guys. Unless the husband put the imperious curse on her, and made her walk out into traffic alone, he did not kill her.

That being said, they need to change their go fund me to not blame the Uber driver if they want to keep any of that money for their daughter

I am debating doing this as well. Is it anonymous?
