New mom kicked out of Uber

Maybe he pushed her out of the Uber. Nonetheless he wasn’t with her when she was found. So he left her.

No it is not

UBER DIDNT LEAVE THE WOMAN ON 495! The police investigated this claim. There is nothing to substantiate this. NOTHING. The only “evidence” the family provided also completely proves this claim false.

Uber is not liable.

Thank you +1

It's always the husband/boyfriend. Or at least, 99% of the time. I bet the husband and friend were having an affair.

If you’re friends with the family like you claimed, then ask them. Instead of making up dumb stuff.

At the end of the day a woman is dead. Telling the truth could teach a valuable lesson for many people but we can claim Bigfoot was her Uber driver and kicked her out at the Telegraph exit and she wandered around by getting off of 495 and then wandered back onto 495 (even though that particular exit close to where she was found actually has a pedestrian bridge so why would you walk across 495 and not the pedestrian bridge) and in the end it’s Trumps fault. I mean, with your reasoning, why not? Just trying to explore all scenarios.

They say the Uber kicked them out on the highway. I didn’t pry further.

Well then that’s on you. If they kicked all 3 of them out, why did the husband and friend leave the woman there? huh? They weren’t with her when she was hit. So either you are lying than you know them and are a troll or you’re just dumb.

Ok, yeah, when I reach out to the husbands sister and say I’m so sorry and she says they were kicked out of the Uber on the beltway, I’m going to say “well why did your brother leave her there???” a day after she died? GTFO. That’s how you’d act?

Actually that’s exactly what I would have asked. Why wasn’t your brother with her? So many ways to ask the question. Don’t you recognize how absurd the situation was?

Of course people are asking- but if you’re insinuating some peripheral friend should contact a grieving family Member of the husband if they know them and be like “I have some hard hitting questions for you, friend!” Then you must not have a lot of friends.

No one is suggesting that, but the poster who keeps chiming in "but I know them" and comes up with fantastical what ifs is the problem. They are responding to that.

If you click on the option to read the previous posts that’s actually exactly what she suggested. She said to ask them, then she said “that’s on you then” when I said it would be highly rude for me to contact the family and start interrogating them. And I don’t think it’s that far fetched to say they were drunk and she tried to flag another ride on the highway. I also said maybe they didn’t exit the Uber where the app said the ride ended but someone corrected me on how the app works. However on the screen shot of the ride it looks like they were pretty close to 495, like on a ramp or access road or something maybe.

PP keeps coming back to defend herself. Listen the problem is that you can’t recognize that the situation is ridiculous that 3 people were together, one being the husband, and instead of wandering why the husband was absent at the time of death and silent as to what happened, you keep coming up with these “scenarios” when the first place to start would be with the husband. Nobody is saying that you harass the family, but you keep coming back again and again with more made up ridiculous what ifs.

Don’t they live very close to 495 in Fairfax off of VD Street? So yeah, they got dropped off close to 495 because THAT’S WHERE YOUR “FRIENDS” live. The fact no one has raised this is beyond me.

They weren’t even there when she was hit! How on earth would he have killed her? Magic?

If the mom was kicked out of the Uber at 1 am, maybe the father/DH went home rather than get out with his wife - the 8 month old baby was presumably with a sitter or grandparents or someone and maybe he needed to get home to the baby.

If they both got out at the same time, then where was he? Not clear.

If only one got out it must have been her choice. They kick everyone out if that were the case. Most men would not let their wife or any woman walk off in the dark at 1 am with nothing in the area.

Why is there a Go Fund Me needed for everything? Do people not carry life insurance anymore?

Most people live paycheck to paycheck, even in our "affluent" area. Do you know how much burial/funeral costs? How will the DH afford the rent/mortgage without her salary. Life Insurance is not endless AND many people who are no salaried do NOT have life insurance.

I’ve had some young family members die in the last year. The extended family paid all the expenses. I can’t imagine begging for money. If the family needed two salaries to meet their needs then they will have to downsize. And people are too quick to donate. What happens if the husband has some fault in the whole thing.

She was dropped off on a side street 3 hrs before she died. Can the Uber driver sue those who falsely accused him of murder?

I don’t understand this line of thinking. The driver’s name has not been publicly released. Why would he sue? What would he even sue for?

Lost wages from being suspended due to false statements? Slander?

Slander cases are hard to win. Seems like the driver would lose money hiring a lawyer and trying to do this.

I am sure the driver can get an attorney on a contingency fee. The claims that this family is making, including in their own GoFundMe description, are egregious and slanderous. I hope the driver does sue.

+1. They've lost all sympathy by continuing to blame the Uber driver.
