If your child is set on law school eventually, which would you choose undergrad: Tufts or Emory? Child needs to decide between the two by May 1. |
Choose whichever one your child believes he or she can get a higher GPA at. Combination of grade inflation/campus atmosphere/academic intensity. |
Emory was out of control today with Hamas protestors. FYI. |
Yo mean anti-genocide protesters? As far as law school us concerned, GPA and LSAT matter a lot along with extracurriculars so wherever he gets a chance to learn and apply analytical and leadership skills. |
They were chanting repeatedly, “We are Hamas!!!”
So…..Hamas protestors is accurate. |
So you want to get into a top 14 Law School to maximize options.
In that regard, I think Tufts will be a little better as the IR/Poli Sci will be a little more well known. I do agree with see where they can get the highest GPA. Grain of Salt--Law Schools can compare multiple applicants and their GPAs from a particular school. They know a GPA at Cornell, BU, GW, etc. is harder to achieve. As I recall Tufts is moderately hard grading. |
I remember 11 or 12 Emory students getting into Harvard law in one year not too long ago. Like 2019. Either way Emory is in a different league academically from Tufts. |
It doesn’t matter at all. |
You again…..Emory is not in a different league. It is in a very different city. |
Are costs the same/relevant? Law school is expensive
It’s not the protests at Emory that would make me pause but the way the administration called police onto the campus |
You say this with such certainty, but I have no idea which you think is superior “academically”. As if that was something you could measure. |
Agree with this PP |
Zero difference |
The Emory protestors were not students. |
I take that back. It was a combination. |
