The admissions committee don't value that B+ because everything that the law schools repirt to USNWR is data driven. All they care about is undergrad GPA and LSAT. This is one if the unstated reasons why some law schools have decided to no longer report data to USNWR. But those same schools (my own included) write the alums every year to brag about the incoming class's LSAT score and GPA at the 75th, 50th and 25th percentiles .... so now send us a check. |

The difference is the necessity of driving whether due to one’s location or quality of public transportation. |
My DD’s friend went to Emory then Duke Law and has a great job, now 2 years post graduation. |
Students can get in to great law schools from ANY college. |
People can become millionaires by playing the lottery. |
I will say if protests were happening at Tufts it wouldn't get the new attention like Emory did. |
Thats because Emory is the beat school in Georgia and Tufts is the 5th or 6th best in Massachusetts. |
No that PP but Tufts is several levels lower than emory. |
Law School is more important but undergrad also looked at. Yale or Tulane matters but not as much as Law School |
Well if you want to live in Georgia you should absolutely go to Emory! Tufts is 3/4 in Massachusetts (flips with BC year to year), coming after MIT and Harvard ain't too shabby. I had no idea Emory folks were so insecure... |
What is it with this need to be "better"? These are both solid schools. Neither is an Ivy, neither is T10. This has gotten silly. |
+10. Why is this so hard to admit for them? These posters would never say Tufyd I'd the same level as Vandy, Georgetown, WashU etc do why Emory. Emorys peer schools are well established, and Tufts is just not one of them. |
Pick whichever child is more comfortable at, and convince child not to go to law school. Full of stress, nasty people, and overly competitive folks. |
Emory in a heartbeat. |
