Billionaire Shipping Mogul Angela Chao's death

As for the Tesla story, don't know but I do know this :

"The problem with driving these fancy Teslas with all their gadgets is that, they can remote control your vehicle and kill you. No one will know about it, because it looks like an accident. All these EVs are hackable. It’s a psyop product, one of many designed to kill you."

Buyer beware.

How would someone know to hack in and reverse her into a pond? Presumably they would do it from afar.

Right, but apparently that's not gonna work on a Tesla window - so don't buy a Tesla.

+1
Buying a Tesla now is so dumb. They are junk

Seriously. Was never a Tesla fan before, but can't believe people are still so enamored by them.

What does this have to do with Tesla? Laminated glass is common on many new cars in 2024. All of new cars have power windows that don’t roll down after they short circuit underwater.

All rthe new technology in the tesla, except no float technology.

Is it possible to have a manual way to roll down windows in addition to the electric?

Maybe cars need a secret escape hatch for submersion.

The article said their family is the only one to have 4 girls finish Harvard's business school, which makes me think she's not the type to be wasted and mistaking gears.

She was tipsy and drove in reverse into a pond. Going to Harvard had nothing to do with it.

What are the sources for these crazy ideas? Quotation marks but no source. Ok.

Hmm, did you watch that movie Leave the World Behind on Netflix?

Top Gear taught me that "waiting for the car to fill with water" is a good way to end up dead.
Takeaway - work really hard to get out as fast as you can, however you can

You have to respect the hard work it took her Dad and Mom to build the shipping business.

High-caste elite immigrants lie about this as naturally as breathing. Even the patriarch on "Succession" was lying about his fake poverty background.

+100000 Why and how?

"Chao shifted her metallic dark blue Tesla Model X SUV into 'reverse' rather than 'drive' as she tried to make a three-point turn.

While performing the maneuver, the electric car plummeted down an embankment and straight into one of estate's many ponds where it quickly began to sink below the waterline.

It is a mistake she had made before with the Tesla gearshift, reports the Wall Street Journal."

She did this twice with the same car. This is not foul play.

Sounds like stupidity. Nothing more

This. It’s not just Chinese immigrants either. Immigrants from other parts of the world do the same to play up their story and make them more appealing.

This might have been mentioned, but there was a long WSJ article about the incident in this weekend’s paper.

The WSJ has a paywall. What did the
article say?

The Tesla windows are reinforced. The article said the tools firefighters normally use to break windows did not work.

Then that is a huge problem.

Well I learned how urgent it is to get out of a car in any amount of warer.

Why was she making a three point turn, didn’t she know where she was?

Angela chao was drunk when she put her car into reverse.
