Yup. BAC three times the legal limit. https://apnews.com/article/angela-chao-dies-mitch-mcconnell-03f040a0ca93396a8adebc293d94f98e?taid=65fb6d8925aac60001e7ec59&utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&utm_medium=AP&utm_source=Twitter |
A lot of questions here as to why? |
lol to the poster who thinks because she went to Harvard she wasn’t the type to get drunk.
|
Oh that is so sad. Everyone needs that glass breaking tool in their cars. |
I don’t know why anyone is surprised by this. |
I’m sure now that they have seen battery fires go on for three days they are inclined to follow the manual to the letter. |
All she had to do was take her foot off the accelerator when she realized the error and the car stops. She must have gunned it and kept her foot on. |
This has been an issue with submerged cars for a long time. It's why they invented those glass hammer devices you should have in your car. People drown in flash flood because of this, and you need to know what kind of glass on each window. https://www.aaa.com/autorepair/articles/vehicle-escape-tools |
I know a lot of people who are just fine with high BAC numbers. Also, are you sure the medical report hasn't been tampered with for political purposes? |
Also, once the water fills up inside, the pressure equalizes, and you can open the door of a car. But you have to stay calm. keep your head above water until the last possible moment and have the presence of mind to know you can open the door once the water is filled in. From AAA: Drivers should also remember that if the vehicle is submerged: o If a window will not open or cannot be broken because it is laminated, everyone should move to the back of the vehicle or wherever an air pocket is located. Stay with it until all of the air has left the vehicle. Once this happens, the pressure should equalize, allowing occupants to open a door and escape. o A hammer-style escape tool (as opposed to a spring-loaded-style) could be much harder to swing underwater. |
Physics. |
The wipers should be set to automatic. I've never touched a screen for the wipers. |
Oh, for crying out loud. When you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras. Enough with the wacky conspiracy theories. Drunk driver has accident and dies. That's the simplest and most logical explanation. |
Nonsense. Nobody drives safely at a BAC of .233. That’s very drunk. Why would anyone tamper with the medical report? What political purposes? The initial reports indicated that she had been drinking. |
Just curious: what are the exact circumstances under which you came to know the driving ability of “a lot” of people with BACs of 0.233 or above? |
