Huh? Why? The nighttime thing is a no brainer. We tell our kids the nanny is with them, because we wouldn't want them to be surprised if they wake up... But they don't. They reliably sleep through the night. So why does it matter who sits in an adjoining room while they do? As for the mornings, it usually amounts to a breakfast adventure with our nanny +/- a swim. They love it. Our nanny likes to travel with us and considers it a perk, since she's free everyday from 10-8 and doesn't do any overnight duty. We also make sure to give her one free evening if we're somewhere where she wants it. |
You've gotta be kidding. Kids like a break from parents too, you know! And breakfast with a fun nanny sounds awesome. If this were grandma no one would bat an eye but somehow a nanny (who is probably more energetic and up-to-date on kids' safety) is an issue. Get a life! |
| They are paying you well. It's a few blocks away. Check The Langham's prices. Over $500 a night? MB has no interest in treating you like family, because you are a temp fill in. From a third party perspective it may not be very nice, but it's not unreasonable either. Since you said they are paying you well. |
