Nanny slacking on chores

Hire a housekeeper to clean your house or better yet clean it yourself.

Nanny,

A nanny is responsible for taking care of my child, and ALSO cleaning the house when the child is sleeping. As a PARENT we make sure our nanny knows our expectations. Due to COVID, it is hard to discipline our Nanny, but we have no problem reminding them over and over again. Ultimately, when COVID is over, we are kicking her to the curb. There is no shortage of Nannies.


The nanny is not responsible to clean Your house while your child is sleeping???. A nanny is not your maid. Omg... if you have a nanny, I feel So sorry for her. You are a %100 jerk mom.

Nannies are not maids please clean up after yourself
When nannies do your house work during the week are you going
To help her on the weekend don’t drain your nannies parents

I’m well aware of what is appropriate. The parents that hire me agree. When the difficulty is slowly increased as they get older, yes, kids can do laundry by themselves in second grade (provided that it’s front loading machines on the floor, no top load or stacked machines).

I never said that an 8yo would be capable of gourmet cooking. But making a balanced meal? Absolutely. I’ve had several kids who could (and did) do it themselves, with the exception of moving heavy, hot pans.

THIS. I don't understand parents who want the nanny to entertain the child every waking moment. To be fair, we made it explicitly clear that our nanny is both a nanny and a housekeeper. And yes, she is teaching kids to fold laundry etc. If a kid can figure out an ipad, s/he can figure out how to sort laundry and mix a salad. jeez.
