There is no Green Card involved. It's an exchange visa.

It becomes a green card when they find an american that will marry them.

I am imagining this poster - an aging nanny with no life - bitter and unhappy. Who needs that energy. Yuck.

I’m a supporter of the AP program. But one of my aps met an American and got married.

One of my friends came as a BP from a homophobic country with the intention of finding a husband. Frankly, I completely understand why.

Out of 6 APs only one has gotten married. Another one still here has a serious bf.
Our male APs probably have 3-4 kids here now that they never met.

Why the "but"? what is wrong with finding a husband in a new country and getting married? My previous AP just got engaged and I wish her good luck.

+1. My previous AP met a husband and has lived in the DC area for years now. She visits often and it's great. I do think the "trump should cancel this program" is an AP pretending to be a HM because it's written in a British style, not an American style.

Because I think she came here to find a husband and get married, not participate in a family exchange.

People move all the time for a better life and APs are not excluded, and if you are not sure maybe let it go...
