OP shouldn't have to explain herself it's her money she worked for. I'm sorry OP the parents here commenting and illegal nannies think you should be a door mat like they are. Only cheap people who nickel and dime would find this acceptable. If it were their check though it would be a different story

Not true - I get paid one week AFTER I complete my hours - so it is my check - its the same story.

I look at it this way: If you both agreed to have pay calculated and paid at a certain time, that should happen. Method and timing of payment are in my contract; sure, I’m fine renegotiating, but the contract reads that EVERYTHING in the contract is open to renegotiation once both parties agree to renegotiate ANYTHING. And if I’m giving up something, I'm going to ask for something else.
