Yes, kids need to be taught manners. The posters saying that have a point.

BUT, to do that is to gently take the child aside or pick a different moment during the day to discuss what is polite. The way she talked to your child shows that she is completely fed up and was at that moment, out to hurt your child.

She is in a profession that is meant to nurture your child and provide stability and safety.

I think it was a good thing that it happened so you know where she stands. You were right. She was rude to your daughter. Even more than that, she was hurtful.

Dealing with kids is a difficult job. I wouldn't tear your nanny apart but I also think that you should try to find a more patient nanny for your children's sake.
