So I did a 3 family nanny share and we did so for a few years and for me because I got all the babies at the same time and they were the same age it was very easy for me to get all kids on the exact same schedule, sleeping, eating , etc. we invested in a triple stroller but sometimes I used a double and just wore one of the babies because she was smaller then the other 2 kids …. I think it’s very doable but most importantly you have someone who specialize in caring for multiples . I would take the kids to the park, library and eventually tumble classes and often once they got older I would even take them to restaurants….. it was a really good experience for me but one thing is for the parents need to be on the same page drop offs and pick ups should be the same , and it’s important you still offer your nanny a contract and good benefits vacation days, sick days, holidays things like that… if one family is traveling it doesn’t matter they still have to pay and insure your nanny gets her full pay check… if she works 40 hours and one family ask her to babysit for additional hours she needs to be compensated for that or if one day all 3 families decide you want to do a date night or something please don’t penny pinch her she needs to be compensated for the extra time… When I did my 3 kid share each family paid $11.50 a hour for 40 hours but our contract guarantees me 45 hours so each family also paid me an additional 5 hours of overtime per week at $17.25 I made a really good amount of money however that was just my experience you have to do what’s best for you but if you want someone reliable and responsible please just make sure you do right by them. |
