Au pair- 6 year old touched her private part RSS feed

Anonymous
OP, presumably, you have taught him "good and bad" touching for him but did you teach him the same for females?

You were not there when it happened and your son, knowing he is in trouble is likely to say anything that w i ll get him out of trouble. The fact that the AP had such a visceral reaction makes me wonder if it wasn't a lot more serious than you want to believe. If I were the OP, I'd want to rematch, as well. You are blaming her when your son is at fault.

op here- both au pair and my son had the same story. Au pair has told me it was not sexual in nature at all. How serious do you think a 6 year old boy can be? Yes I have told him what private parts are- both female and male. After reading ALL of these comments and speaking to his teacher and a child phych (overkill) I do think I overreacted. This is normal behavior, and nothing is sexual or out of the limits of what a 6 year old does.

PP who shared the link to the article on the first page of this thread, and I am SO glad for you that you've gotten to this place. I am especially glad you didn't let "the sky is falling" crazies on here drive you to terror.
